    To help support the work of the University, we have an immediate opening for a Business Analyst for the Information Technology Services Department.

    Position Reports To: Manager of Administrative Systems

    Position Summary: The Business Analyst solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements, configuring computer systems, and recommending system controls and protocols. The Business Analyst will assist the Manager of Administrative Systems with supporting the administrative users of the University in their use of computer business systems, including but not limited to, CampusNexus Student, Ad ASTRA, Forms Builder, DocuSign, SchoolDocs, and Great Plains (Dynamics). The Business Analyst will be expected to identify opportunities within the University to improve processes and produce better business outcomes.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
    • Ability to work effectively with a variety of end users
    • Experience working with a diverse student population
    • Ability to effectively convey information in-person and in writing
    • Ability to work with vendors to obtain merchandise and services
    • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
    • Integrity, adaptability, and ability to work independently and as both team leader and team member
    • Excellent organization, documentation, and critical thinking skills
    • Experience leading and supporting successful projects

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in Microsoft SQL
    • Knowledge of Chatham-specific hardware, software (e.g., CampusNexus Student, Ad ASTRA, Forms Builder, DocuSign, SchoolDocs, and Great Plains (Dynamics)) and protocols
    • Experience working in higher education

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in maintaining the University Enterprise systems by scheduling new system releases, upgrades and patches
    • Provides daily support for University Administrative systems used on campus, including but not limited to, CampusNexus Student, Ad ASTRA, CampusNexus Engage, Forms Builder, DocuSign, SchoolDocs, and Great Plains (Dynamics)
    • Assist with testing activities within and outside the department
    • Assists in monitoring the direction and growth of the organization to ensure the application of appropriate database technologies and support resources
    • Identifies and resolves data related issues
    • Stays abreast of products and trends in administrative computing in higher education
    • Consults with departmental data owners regularly to ensure data consistency and integrity within the University Enterprise systems
    • Provides education, training, and awareness on the University Administrative Systems
    • Prepares written and electronic documentation in support of training end-users
    • Meets with primary stakeholders to identify issues, outline business processes, and provide solutions within the Enterprise systems
    • Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
    • Performs other duties as required in support of the mission of the Information Technology Services Department and Chatham University
