    Mental Health Professional - Truancy Job Description Child Guidance Resource Centers is looking for a full-time Mental Health Professional to join our Truancy Department in Delaware County. The Mental Health Professional will provide in-home family therapy and case management services to identified children, adolescents and their families. The Truancy and Delinquency Prevention Partnership is a program designed to work with families of students who are not attending school, chronically late and unprepared for school, or exhibiting behavior problems in school. Because each situation is unique, each solution is also unique. Flexibility is key in addressing truancy as defined in research by the National Center for School Engagement (schoolengagement.org). Solutions are created by masters-level mental health professionals to meet specific needs of students and families. Many different types of services may be offered including family therapy, individual therapy, case management, advocacy, family support services, and behavior management programs. All services are provided in students' homes, schools, and communities. Some instances will involve group work at the school. Requirements: Masters Degree in a counseling, psychology, social work. Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a child and families in a mental health, education, child welfare or juvenile justice system/secure juvenile setting. Minimum of one (1) year, two years preferred, case management experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborating with multiple service providers. Broad clinical practice experience in family therapy, child therapy, behavior therapy, individual therapy, group counseling and crisis intervention/stabilization. Knowledge of DSM 5, community resources, home-based service provision, special education, 302 criteria, abuse/neglect report procedures, and passive restraint procedures preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid drivers license required. Must be able to work evenings.
