Job Description

Coaches provide direct support to students of all ages and their families through a one-on-one format, virtual or in-person, in areas of academic support, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning skills. Coaches prepare lessons, communicate with families regarding individual sessions and schedule, and track progress in Goals Portal, our goal-tracking system.

Supervises: No direct supervision 3-10 hours a week, Non-exempt Location: San Diego County, (client determined locations) Billable Payrate: $20.00 - $27.00 ($20-23.50 per hour for Standard Coaches, $25-27 per hour for Specialist Coaches)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• On-going, consistent, direct coaching/tutoring support specific to each client's needs
• Regular lesson preparation for each coaching session
• Regular communication with families regarding sessions and student progress
• Timely submission of worked hours and availability in TutorCruncher
• Timely updates of client goal progress in Goals Portal
• Timely communication with Club Xcite management staff
• Regularly scheduled check-ins, professional development sessions, and performance evaluations with members of the Club Xcite management team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience instructing/coaching children/adolescents (REQUIRED)
• Experience in Literacy, Lingusitics and Dyslexia
• Strong personal organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity using online management platforms
• Strong communication in multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.)
• Ability to commit to a client for a minimum of six months
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Must have reliable transportation source and availability during weekdays
• Experience working in, any or all of the following: ABA Therapy, Mental Health, ADHD/ADD Coaching, Special Education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Therapy (PREFERRED)
• Valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services)
