The Single Cell Sequencing Core at Boston University Department of Medicine seeks a research technician.

The responsibilities will include single cell library preparation for RNA-seq using commercially available kits and in-house protocols, assistance to the Core Research Scientist with development and optimization of novel plate-based protocols and routine maintenance of the Core equipment and reagents inventory.

Required Skills

Bachelors Degree-required Masters Degree-preferred

Degree in cell biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or related fields. 1-3 years' work experience required. Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English are required.

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Experience in use of technology for project management and data recording is required. U.S. permanent residency status or ability to obtain visa is required.
• Experience performing cell culture and flow cytometry is required. Experience developing or applying dissociation techniques in the context of single cell RNA-seq is helpful, but not required.
