    Intern, Communications Tracking Code 812-801 Job Description FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt POSITION TYPE: Part-Time, Non-Benefited DEPARTMENT: Communications and Marketing RESPONSIBLE TO: Communications Representative II ESTIMATED CLOSING DATE: Until Filled POSITION SUMMARY This position will work closely with Communication Representatives to help support communications and content related to supporting the overall strategic plan of the College. This position will assist with the planning, producing, publishing, and distributing content in a variety of multimedia platforms and creative mediums. This position will help share content that supports related activities and initiatives; such as marketing, foundation, program, and department-focused projects and events as well as student stories and college highlights. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Work in conjunction with Communications Representatives II and III to support production of content related to telling the story of CWI, including but not limited to; students, alumni, programs, grant projects, donors, scholarship recipients, partners, and other story topics as deemed appropriate. Assist with publishing and distribution of collected content in conjunction with the Communications and Marketing team. All efforts of this position will be integrated with department strategy. Seek out creative ways to capture the content and share across a variety of channels and through various mediums; photos, video, online, social media, campus television screens, etc. Contribute to social media efforts for general college accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Develop excellent relations with department leaders, faculty, and student organizations in support of College priorities Conveys by words and action the values expected by CWI Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree or currently working toward a degree. Knowledge of basic communication and marketing principles and practices. Knowledge of various multimedia platforms and experience with photography. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Access to transportation as local travel is required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in oneonone and in group situations. Strong Interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write and speak in English and professional verbal and written communication skills. Salary Range $10.00 per hour
