  • Responsibilities

    Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine seeks applicants for a full-time position as Clinic Director of the Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. This faculty position is offered at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or higher. This is a non-tenure track position.

    Required Skills

    Applicants must possess a DDS/DMD degree and have completed an advanced specialty education program in orthodontics and be eligible for dental licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Preference will be given to candidates with certification from the American Board of Orthodontics, those with advanced postdoctoral degrees, experience in teaching and clinical practice and/or administrative experience of managing an orthodontic practice.

     

    In addition to the oversight of residency clinic as the Clinic Director, the responsibilities of this academic role include: clinical instruction and supervision of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics residents, didactic teaching, mentoring masters-level orthodontic research candidates, and service on dental school or university committees. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Employment will commence on July 1, 2019.
