Adjunct Lecturer, Nonprofit Financial Management (On-campus, Spring 2022)
Job Description
Columbia University’s Master's in Nonprofit Management program seeks candidates to teach Nonprofit Financial Management. Course sections are generally taught one day or evening per week for each semester, depending on program needs and instructor availability. SPS seeks individuals with a vibrant portfolio of relevant professional experience, graduate academic study, and professional or academic publications to teach nonprofit financial management. The course is intended as an overview of financial and budgetary literacy needed for nonprofit organizations and their use as a communication tool for organizational priorities, and should, therefore, focus on these areas:
Candidates should have extensive leadership experience applying their discipline in the nonprofit sector, teaching experience, and a deep and demonstrated understanding of applied and academic trends that are driving best practices.
Qualifications
Columbia University SPS operates under a scholar-practitioner faculty model, which enables students to learn from faculty possessing outstanding academic training as well as a record of accomplishment as practitioners in an applied professional setting.
