Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale. Minimum Requirements Associates degree and three years full-time experience in systems engineering or IT security. Knowledge of operating system installation, security, and configuration. Experience with application installation, end user provisioning and security, LDAP concepts, SAN concepts. At least two of the following certifications: MCTIP, MCTS, VMware VCP, RHSA, NCDA, AIX. Two years of experience working with the specific systems can replace the certification requirement. Class Specific Essential Duties 1. Perform system and security scans, prepare reporting, and provide end user assistance for security initiatives. 2. Perform installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of security related hardware, software and appliances. 3. Conduct security risk assessments, incident response, and remediation. 4. Configure and setup cybersecurity for academic learning environments. 5. Provide support and system maintenance for college owned security systems including, but not limited to, AlienVault, FireEye, Saintbox and various forensic software packages. 6. Assist with the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructure. Provide support to the user community, particularly in regards to security remediation based on the outcomes of regularly scheduled scans and reports. 2. Develop and conduct a schedule of security tasks to be completed on a regular basis. 3. Review security configurations of technology that is managed by each of the Information Technology functional areas to ensure that proper safeguards are present. 4. Conduct security awareness training and mentoring for the user community. 5. Evaluate, test and prototype new security hardware and software. 6. Ensure that academic programs are secure while still being able to fulfill their teaching requirements, particularly focusing on the college's Cybersecurity Program. Employees may allocate a maximum of $5,000 per household, per plan year for daycare related expenses, on a pre-tax basis. Employees may allocate a maximum of $2,550 for medical related expenses. Life Insurance Eligible employees receive one times their annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1,000. The minimum benefit amount is $50,000 and the maximum benefit amount is $200,000. Long Term Disability (LTD) Employees may enroll in the LTD Plan. Benefits are effective after 90 days of continuous total disability and pays 60% of the gross monthly salary.
