    DEPARTMENT: Admissions

     

    REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions or Admissions Manager

    FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

    GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of the Admissions Representative position is to enroll prospective students in CSI programs.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Contact leads/prospective students to set up appointments for campus visits.

    · Interview prospective students.

    · Effectively use set contact strategies to convert leads.

    · Consistently meet or exceed set enrollment/start and conversion goals.

    · Follow-up with new students to confirm start dates and check status.

    · Work with current students regarding day-to-day issues during start periods such as cancels, drops, schedules, attendance and other school-related problems.

    · Generate referrals and professionally developed leads.

    · Continually update SMS database with student information.

    · Report daily on appointment activity.

    · Check admissions files for accuracy.

    · Other duties and special projects as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in higher education admissions in domestic market preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING SKILLS: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    EQUIPMENT/COMPUTER SKILLS: Incumbent must be able to use the following equipment and software packages with proficiency:

    · Microsoft Office Suite
