    FoxGuard Solutions is looking to add an IT SPECIALIST to its team of experienced IT professionals! Your skillset will play a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure while working alongside a diverse and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows, basic computer networking, and experience with Linux. Are you ready for the next step in your IT career?     WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Perform routine maintenance of network equipment including system updates and backups.
    • Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
    • Proactively monitor system network performance and assist with capacity planning.
    • Maintain security and appropriate Access Control Lists (ACLs) for all assigned systems.
    • Create and maintain technical support documentation for networking systems and applications.
    • Regularly perform information gathering to assist in risk assessments of our network infrastructure during internal audit process.
    • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
    • Provide input on improving the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
    • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments to ensure systems reliability, integrity and security.
    • Assist in proactively maintaining and improving Linux infrastructure technology.
    • Assist in implementing software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on Linux servers.
    • Assist in maintaining hardware and software inventory
    • Assist with helpdesk tickets as assigned.
    • Assist implementation and management of disaster recovery and back-up
    • Assist with deploying, reimaging, upgrading and troubleshooting end-user equipment.
    • Accurately process, record, and resolve issues using our internal tracking systems including our ticketing system and change management.
    • Demonstrate continuous improvement; always look for ways to improve processes.
    • Stay abreast of advances in technology
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY:

    • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 6-12 months in a computer engineering role or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent demonstrated fundamental knowledge of network technologies and concepts.
    • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
    • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work comfortably with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.

     

    THE FOLLOWING MAY BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION:

    • Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or the ability to obtain within six
    • Experience in providing support such as one on one consultation and training to end users.
    • Scripting in Bash and/or Powershell.
