    Job Description

    Research shows that when exploring universities, prospective students want to hear directly from current students about their college experience. Therefore, the Marketing & Brand Strategy Team of the Mendoza College of Business is seeking a student content specialist.

    The student will brainstorm, create and publish engaging content to the department’s digital media outlets including website articles, Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, as well as aid in the development of digital marketing campaigns for the department.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Attend mandatory team meetings as scheduled and proactively request alternative meetings when scheduling conflicts arise
    • Meet deadlines as established
    • Brainstorm, create and publish unique content for the Mendoza digital media accounts
    • Edit short article and blog content on the Mendoza website
    • Create and edit short video content to be used for digital media accounts
    • Ensure that content is relevant to the academic, spiritual, and extracurricular pursuits at the University and within Mendoza
    • Respond to questions and comments submitted in response to posts
    • Learn and maintain compliance with social media guidelines as determined by University
    • Organize content library to be used for digital media channels
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Reliable and able to commit for Summer 2026
    • Experience creating photo and short-form video content for Instagram and YouTube Reels
    • Strong communication skills with diverse audiences
    • Excellent writing skills, including grammar and spelling
    • Comfortable with technology; Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred but not required
    • Demonstrates maturity and discretion in content creation and engagement
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Proactive with initiative to develop engaging content

    Schedule:
    Students have flexibility in content creation but must spend 2–4 hours per week in-office during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; 1:00–5:00 p.m.) for team meetings and training. This is an in-person role, up to 40 hours per week during the summer session.
