This person performs various unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of facilities, buildings, equipment, and fixtures. This is a FLSA Non-Exempt position. Position End Date Position Summary Information Job Description Duties and Responsibilities 1. Cleans, restores and rebuilds structures as assigned. 2. Maintains cleanliness of the building including, but not limited to, classrooms, labs, restrooms, offices, library, and other space. 3. Assists in the repair and adjustments to plumbing, waterlines, electrical wiring and equipment, plastering, furniture, shelves, doors, windows, and equipment of various kinds. 4. Acts as custodian of maintenance and machine tools and supplies as well as other mechanical equipment. 5. Maintains the sidewalks, streets, and parking lots, including the edging of curbs and walks. 6. Assists with grounds upkeep including mowing, edging, watering, etc. 7. Removes garbage and trash from the grounds of the campus after making routine inspections of the trash and garbage disposal equipment. 8. Assists with room setups and special projects as needed. These may include preparing for special events such as graduation, Awards Day, etc. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualification Summary Previous experience maintaining cleanliness of office buildings. Previous experience with garbage disposal equipment.
