    Job Description

    Cornell College is hiring instructors to teach segments of undergraduate-level courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering in intensive, two-week-long periods for Beihua University students in Jilin, China. The courses are taught in English. Because of COVID-19, these courses are currently being taught by delivering 20 hours of asynchronous video and 5 hours of synchronous voice chat. Ordinarily these courses are taught at Beihua University in Jilin, China. When taught in China, two sections of a given course are taught concurrently and each section meets for two hours every weekday for the two-week period.

    Our teaching needs include courses in Mobile Applications Software, Embedded Systems, and Multimedia Communications Technology to be delivered during May and June each year. Our teaching needs also include Digital Signal Processing, Optical Communication technology, and Wireless Sensor Networks, to be taught in October and November each year. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. We will prefer candidates who have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline; candidates who are ABD or have Masters' or significant professional experience will also be seriously considered. This position requires excellent spoken English.
