    Coordinator for Business Minors, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is comprised of the universitys three accredited business schools: The Hotel School, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. The College delivers undergraduate, graduate, and professional business programs creating a collaborative, comprehensive business management program that preserves the excellence of all three schools while uniting the faculty and students. The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is one of the most comprehensive business schools in the nation, with 145 research faculty and nearly 2,900 undergraduate, professional, and graduate students. The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business has a collection of areas of expertise not found in any other leading institution and an unparalleled resource base from which to drawboth within the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and within Cornell (including Cornell Tech). This role will work most closely with the faculty and staff of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management is a large and diverse School in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The Dyson School includes 44 professorial academics and 11 non-professorial academics who are internationally known scholars with training in the fields of applied economics and management science. The AEM includes over 700 undergraduates, 220 undergraduate minors, 100 graduate students, and 38 members of the professional and support staff. Position Summary: The Program Manager for Business Minors provides a broad range of administrative and student services support for the Dyson Minors program under the general supervision of the Faculty Director(s). The program manager works collaboratively with the Faculty Directors in the development of activities for any of the seven minors in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management: 1) the University-wide Business Minor (UBM), 2) the Dyson Business Minor for Engineering (DBME), 3) the Dyson Business Minor for Life Sciences (DBMLS), 4) the Minor in Agribusiness Management, 5) the Minor in Applied Economics, 6) the Minor in Environmental and Resource Economics, and 7) the Minor in International Trade and Development. The program manager will also collaborate with the Assistant Dean for Student Services for the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business to ensure integration with the Colleges Offices of Student Services and connections to student services and registrar offices across the campus, with which the Assistant Dean and Directors of Student Services maintain close connections. Currently the program manager administers all aspects of the Dyson Minors Program. The program manager consolidates all undergraduate minor services including advising, coordinating special events, maintaining records, meeting with prospective students and their families, certifying students, managing all communications, and working with all the Registrars Offices at Cornell University. The program managers responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Manage, enforce, update and notify of all the policies, procedures and regulations to certify students completing the minors and collaborate with the registrars offices as well as faculty committees for the minors. * Under the general supervision of the Faculty Director, manage correspondence and announcements for students, maintenance of data bases and organize events related to the minors * Make recommendations for improvements to systems and processes that may improve the effectiveness of the minors program. Over time it is expected that the program manager may become involved in the oversight and administration of other minors across the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. When and how the responsibilities of this position may expand will be determined by the Assistant Dean for Student Services and the minors Faculty Directors. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in database and spreadsheet applications. Proven ability to work in a team context and to set priorities, manage competing demands and to provide timely response to urgent issues Sound judgement, creativity, and the ability to work well with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Superior written and oral communication skills are a must, including the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information appropriately Prior experience in developing and managing budgets and demonstrated track record of financial stewardship Preferred Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in student advising and or program coordination in higher education Masters degree is also preferred. Experience using electronic student information management systems. Experience marketing programs and events to a student or campus audience, or equivalent.
