Specialists bring relationships and relevance into the classroom through engaging project based learning opportunities on a daily basis. iJAG seeks a high school Education Specialist to fill a position at the Council Bluffs Community School District at Thomas Jefferson High School. The Specialist will facilitate our learner centered program working with 9th-10th graders and 11th-12th. This full-time, 12 month position requires a dedicated educator who is confident, a self-starter and can work collaboratively with our school and community partners. Experience working with youth, developing and implementing project-based and experiential education, school-to-work transition, career guidance, and service learning is preferred. Qualifications: Bachelors degree, teaching experience, excellent communication, data entry and analysis creativity, high-functioning team player, ability to advocate for youth and confidence with relationship building among iJAG stakeholders. Teacher certificate and/or relevant experience desired. Experience in fields addressing resiliency is a plus. Position is non-contracted and non-IPERS.
