Course Assistants
Reports to: Program Dean
Salary Range: $30/hour, part-time
Note: Course Assistants should be careful if they have multiple contracts to plan work to not exceed the 40 hours per week limit.
Course Assistants assist faculty in a specific course for either a single course section or multiple course sections. The responsibilities can include grading, course management, and student support. Course Assistants are selected by the faculty for each course.
Responsibilities:
• Aid faculty members with course delivery.
• Grade and/or build assignments and other course materials.
• Conduct review sessions as needed.
• Agree to not share grade/assignment information with students unless instructed by the professor.
• Uphold academic integrity and support the mission of Hult.
Confidentiality:
All completed assignments, exams, grades, correspondence, and other information about individual students in the class must be kept confidential except where the student has given written consent. These provisions are consistent with Federal and State privacy laws.
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
• A graduate degree in the relevant program or equivalent experience.
• Subject matter proficiency and high grades in the applicable course. A final GPA of 3.4 or above is required to apply.
• You cannot be a current Dual Degree student at Hult for any Course Assistant work at the Postgraduate level.
• Your schedule is flexible to work on very compressed timelines.
• You are available to be in Boston, and in class, if required by your faculty member.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Quick-thinking, collaborative, enterprising approach to work.
• Strong Office suite application skills.
