DEPARTMENT MANAGER, Sargent College, Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences

Sargent Colleges Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences offers academic professional programs with a focus on preparing students for careers in health care. Reporting to the Department Chair, the department manager will work to ensure the efficient management and operational excellence of the academic unit and its dynamic community of faculty, researchers, and students. Working in collaboration with the Chair and Program Director, core responsibilities include management of budgets and coordination of department related activities, including helping to arrange student orientation/meetings, continuing education, conferences, direct workflow and workloads of all departmental student employees. Assist with faculty appointments, promotions, tenure applications, recruitments, and searches. Maintain departmental documentation in coordination with Department Chair and Program Directors. Schedule, plan and direct (as applicable) departmental meetings, events, and other special projects. Manage student employee payroll submission, order supplies, and process Concur expense reports. The Department Manager may also support educational and research-related activities on an as-needed basis. Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years' experience required.
