    Under the guidance and support of the Education Advisor Supervisor, the Education Advisor acts as the primary contact for career guidance, sales, administrative support inquiries from prospective customers, exam candidates, and current ACE professionals specific to ACE Certification programs, continuing educational courseware, and renewal status. Contributes to certification, publication, continuing education, and renewal department sales goals by achieving individual goals via consultative sales techniques. Actively collaborates in team and cross-functional activities to achieve ACE’s mission and business goals.

    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications:

    • Current ACE certification or the ability to earn one within 6 months
    • 1+ year of experience as a practicing fitness professional
    • 1+ year of sales experience and comfortable with consultative selling techniques and practices
    • Can speak intelligently about career option in the health and fitness industry with the knowledge of how to position the need for accredited certification as a necessary tool for success in the marketplace
    • Proficient in common computer software programs and willingness to learn ACE systems
    • Can identify, analyze and resolve problems effectively using available resources
    • Able to work independently, prioritize work, and seek assistance from leadership and peers as appropriate
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with both physical and virtual work environments
    • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, call center and chat technology
    • Equally adept at communicating and making sales via voice, chat and email
    • Can speak with well-informed point-of-view regarding other certification organizations
    • Can speak intelligently about career option in the health and fitness industry with the knowledge of how to position the need for accredited certification as a necessary tool for success in the marketplace
    • Able to read and interpret reports regarding sales performance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Fitness Management, Recreation or related field

    Required Experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Meets quarterly sales quotas through both incoming/outgoing sales calls, live chat and email outreach
    • Uses proactive outreach for top-of-funnel leads specific to individuals interested in ACE’s product offerings
    • Assists current and future ACE-certified professionals in the identification and selection of ACE product offerings
    • Communicates with all ACE customers and staff in a knowledgeable, professional, courteous and efficient manner over the phone, via Live Chat or through email correspondence
    • Interacts with other departments to facilitate order fulfillment and ensure other processes are completed efficiently
    • Maintains accurate database information through consistent use of CRM
    • Responsible for documenting, researching and responding to customer inquiries concerning certification products, delivery, billing, exam registration and other topics specific to the certification process
    • Hands off customer requests to other departments in a timely manner with proper documentation
    • Works with other departments as required, in support of the ACE Mission and business goals
    • Assists in sales of stand-alone exam registration options for customers when necessary, which may include retake or reschedule exam candidates
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide customer and sales team’s POV and feedback to other departments
    • Maintain a commitment to and aligns with ACE mission, vision, values and programs to represent ACE
    • Other duties as assigned
