    Required Qualifications: **** This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a strong mathematics background and two (2) years of related work experience in teaching, tutoring, or other academic support. Computer science and/or accounting experience is a plus.

    Working Hours: Work hours will vary between 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and may require reporting to more than one DSC campus.

    Key Responsibilities **: **This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.

    • Plans, coordinates, and presents individualized and/or group academic assistance to students.
    • Prepares, coordinates, and conducts orientations, training, and/or workshops for students, faculty, and/or staff.
    • Gathers, verifies, and maintains data to support periodic and special reports.
    • Mentors and evaluates peer/professional tutors.
    • Assists with computerized equipment and software.
    • Creates and updates supplemental resources to assure programs and services conform to best practices.
    • Maintains current knowledge of academic disciplines to better provide support.
    • Maintains and safeguards equipment, materials, and supplies.
    • Attends staff meetings, professional seminars, and conferences to improve academic and professional skills.

    The successful candidate must be able to relate to and work with students individually and/or in small groups, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively. They will exercise strong organizational skills, work in a multiple-task environment, and promote positive student, faculty, and staff relations.
