    Minimum Qualifications: Must have a minimum of an associate degree, but a baccalaureate degree is preferred. Must be a DANB certified dental assistant with at least five years of current four-handed dentistry clinical experience and expanded functions certification (EFDA). Must have current basic life support/CPR certification. Previous online teaching experience is desirable, but not essential. All faculty must supply their own computer equipment (specifications to be provided) and Internet access. All faculty must be willing to complete an online faculty development course and orientation prior to teaching.


    **Essential Functions/Duties:
    **

    • Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course
      Information sheets.

    • Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.

    • Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.

    • Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

    **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    **

    • Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
    • Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
    • Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

    **What you will do: **

    Accounting Leadership: Provides leadership to the accounting team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Ensures appropriate staffing and workload levels through hiring, promotion, and delegation.

    Process oversight and improvement: Develops and manages accounting processes and functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and asset management, banking services, collections, payroll, and account reconciliation. Identifies opportunities to automate or improve existing processes. Coordinates with internal and external customers to continuously improve customer experience.

    C ompliance and analysis : Analyzes accounting data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Investigates reconciliation variances to determine necessary process or system changes. Maintains knowledge of industry, regulatory, and accounting standards impacting accounting operations.

    **Creates and maintains company accounting policies. **
