    Are you passionate about digital marketing and the arts? Looking for hands-on experience in social media, content creation, copywriting, and digital strategy?

    The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center is hiring a remote Digital Marketing Assistant for Summer 2026. This role is open to University of Notre Dame undergraduate students , with the opportunity to continue into the academic year. This flexible, remote-friendly position provides real-world experience in digital marketing , working closely with DPAC’s marketing team to promote the performing arts at the University of Notre Dame.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Social Media & Content Creation * Write marketing copy for social media channels. * Utilize social media scheduling platforms. * Develop engaging and trending short-form video and social media content. * Contribute to DPAC’s blog (student reviews, student spotlights, and arts-related topics). * Curate Spotify playlists featuring Presenting Series artists and themed collections.
    • Marketing & Engagement * Advocate for the arts at DPAC and Notre Dame through digital storytelling. * Assist in developing creative content strategies. * Gain exposure to how digital marketing analytics inform content strategy. * Support the Digital Marketing Manager with marketing goals and initiatives.
    • Additional Projects * Submit event listings to platforms such as Conductor Share, Visit South Bend , and The Week. * Design templates for consistent creative assets (e.g., Throwback Thursday , Behind the Curtain , Education Station ). * Other marketing-related tasks as assigned.

    Time Commitment & Perks:

    • Flexible, remote-friendly schedule: approximately 20 hours per week in the summer , with the opportunity to continue during the academic year ( approx. 10 hours per week ).

    • Hourly Rate: Starting at $16/hour , based on experience.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Current University of Notre Dame undergraduate student.
    • Experience creating engaging social media content.
    • Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills.
    • Comfortable discussing and promoting topics related to the performing arts (music, film, dance, theater, etc.).
    • Familiarity with social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Must be located in the United States during the summer employment period.
    • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the summer and about 10 hours per week during the academic year (if continuing).
    • Must be able to work independently and incorporate feedback and direction.
    • Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends during the academic year.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of design fundamentals (branding, layout, typography, and concept design).
    • Experience with Adobe Express, Canva, Adobe Rush, or similar design tools, primarily for creating social media templates and editing short-form video content.
    • Photography and/or video editing skills are a plus.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing analytics.
    • Experience using social media scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
    • Prior experience in marketing, communications, copywriting, or a related field.
