The Community Counseling Center (CCC) of Azusa Pacific University (APU) is a multidisciplinary, outpatient mental health clinic providing a variety of services to children, families, and adults who may be experiencing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and other stressor-related disorders as well as other clinical syndromes or conditions. The CCC provides mental health services (psychotherapy and psychological assessment) to members of the community, as well as services to some students at Azusa Pacific University. The clinic is a training facility staffed by supervised graduate students representing various disciplines, including Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, and Social Work as well as faculty/staff affiliated with APU. The CCC provides the local and surrounding communities a comprehensive range of services for the prevention, intervention, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. Services may be rendered at the clinic or in multiple settings in the field (e.g., at local school districts, community agencies, or other city locations, etc.).
The Director of the CCC is responsible for managing the overall operations of the clinic, including managing the budget and securing additional funding through outreach, contracts, grants, etc. In addition to providing oversight to the clinic and leadership to the staff and student trainees at the clinic, the Director will liaise with other units across the university, will work cooperatively with the faculty and staff of the programs whose students train in the clinic, and will foster and build relationships with community partners.
