Director at Summer Day Camp
- Responsibilities
Responsibilities for Director:
Work with and supervise counselors in a supportive manner
Assign counselors to specific tasks
Greet families and campers upon arrival and orientate them to camp
Establish with campers and staff rules and emergency procedures
Manage parent expectations by knowing your campers and conversing with parents at pick-up and drop-off times
Plan daily camp schedule and activities
Shop for camp supplies, staying within supply budget provided by KECamps
Have activities prepared in advance
Check in with KECamps office to update them on your camp and any issues you may be encountering

Qualities Necessary:
Ability to work with children to grow in character, experiences and insights
Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
Prior experience working with children
Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Level-Headed, Flexible, and calm in all situations

Established in 1999, KECamps provides the highest quality children’s summer camps for country clubs. KECamps began as a small operation with just three club camps in Las Vegas. Almost two decades later, we are now proud to operate over eighty-five camps across the country in thirty-one states. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, KECamps was awarded the Excellence in Achievement Award for Club Program of the Year by Boardroom Magazine. Last summer, over 4,000 campers enjoyed their summer vacation with us.
We believe that the single best thing you can do for your child is send him or her to camp. The confidence, self-awareness, lasting friendships and joy children gain from attending camp is impossible to match. We are proud to offer an economical, yet top-notch camp option for country club members and guests. We are passionate about providing quality camp opportunities for children. After all, planning for and implementing our camp programs is what we do 12 months of the year!
Our unique summer day camps offer children opportunities to experience a variety of exciting and innovative programs in a safe and professional setting. Daily schedules vary from location to location, depending on each unique facility. The majority of our camps offer group golf instruction, group tennis instruction, daily swimming and martial arts. All of our programs are well-rounded, age appropriate and tons of fun! The ability to cater to a club’s specific needs is a trademark of KECamps.
