    ** The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000-53,000/year**

    Launch your front-line fundraising career in a structured, high-impact role! The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a Donor Experience Officer (DXO) to join our Individual Giving Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in fundraising while following a clear and supported path toward long-term success in advancement.

    As a DXO, you will manage a portfolio of alumni and friends of IU, using digital engagement tools to build meaningful relationships. You’ll be responsible for a steady cadence of outreach, sending personalized emails and videos, conducting virtual meetings, asking for philanthropic support of IU, and tracking donor activity to ensure consistent progress toward engagement and fundraising goals. Your work will be goal-driven, with clear metrics for outreach, donor meetings, dollars raised and pipeline growth. Success in this role requires commitment to structure and consistency. You’ll execute a standard daily outreach regimen, monitor your own metrics, working closely with the Individual Giving Officer role to coordinate outreach and share insights within your assigned outreach territory.

    Education & Experience

    • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

    • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in direct sales, marketing, communications, fundraising, or nonprofit work is strongly preferred.

    • Combinations of related education and experience will be considered.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across mediums, especially via video conferencing, email, and phone.

    • Technologically adept, with experience using CRMs, Microsoft package, email platforms, video conferencing tools, and social media platforms for outreach.

    • Creative thinker with entrepreneurial instincts and a strong sense of integrity.

    • Ability to connect thoughtfully and empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    • Organized, detail-oriented, and highly self-motivated with strong time management skills.

    • Comfort working independently while contributing to team goals.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.

    • A passion for building relationships and tracking your own growth and success.

    Additional Information

    ** Onboarding for this role will be in person and will take place over seven weeks in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana. **

    **This position requires in-person meetings, team-building activities, and all-staff gatherings which will take place in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana on a regular basis. On days when this role is in the office for an event or meeting, you will be encouraged to stay in the office for the day, making the most of the opportunity to collaborate with peers in person. **
