    Job Description

    The EHS Auditor Americas is responsible for planning and executing audits across the region to ensure alignment with corporate standards, legal requirements, and best practices in Environment, Health & Safety. This role plays a critical part in identifying risks, promoting continuous improvement, and supporting a strong compliance and safety culture throughout the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the EHS Audit Team in the Americas: 1 full-time auditor and 4 co-auditors
    • Plan and execute EHS audits across the Americas, in line with Sika’s Minimum EHS Standards and ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, 14001).
    • Identify non-conformities, unsafe conditions, and systemic gaps; provide clear recommendations.
    • Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of audit findings.
    • Follow up on corrective actions to confirm effective implementation.
    • Share best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with regional teams to maintain alignment with corporate EHS objectives.
    • Work closely with the global audit team on the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS audit procedures and tools.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

    • Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or similar is preferred.

    • Prior experience in auditing and/or managing EHS systems in industrial environments is mandatory.

    • 3+ years of professional experience in EHS

    • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations in the Americas, with specific expertise in OSHA standards (29 CFR).

    • Solid understanding of ISO management systems and audit methodology.

    • Familiarity with risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.

    • Bi-lingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and meet deadlines.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit management platforms.

    • Travel Requirements: 50–70% (across North, Central, and South America)
