The Labunskyy Laboratory at Boston University School of Medicine is looking for a talented and highly motivated post-doctoral candidate to work on a newly funded R01 project on Systems Biology of Aging. The candidate will join a dynamic multidisciplinary research team focused on solving the mechanisms of aging using a combination of experimental biology and quantitative approaches. Candidates should have, or will soon receive, a PhD in Molecular Biology, Computational Biology or related fields.
Required Skills
Candidates with background in yeast genetics, imaging/microscopy and/or aging biology are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior experience with both experimental and computational aspects of high-throughput sequencing (e.g. RNA-seq, ribosome profiling) and single cell approaches is highly desirable, but it is not a requirement. For computationally-trained candidates, knowledge of genomics, biostatistics, and programming skills in a statistical language (Matlab, R) and/or a scripting language (e.g. Python) are required.
TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION PLEASE SEND A CV, CONTACT INFORMATION FOR 3 REFERENCES, AND A BRIEF LETTER DESCRIBING RESEARCH EXPERIENCE AND INTERESTS TO DR. VYACHESLAV LABUNSKYY, VLABUNS@BU.EDU.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
