EWUis currently seeking to fill a tenure track faculty position of Public Health at either Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending upon candidate qualifications. The college seeks faculty who are committed to excellence in instruction and who appreciate a student-centered, with an emphasis on service and community based learning in the education process. The department is housed in the College of Health Science and Public Health based on Easterns Spokane campus. The college and department prepare students to help meet the growing market demand in the critical fields of public health, health care and education. TheMPHprogram is a project management/practitioner based program, with no laboratory components. The College is home to several nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate programs with a focus on inter-professional education (IPE) and collaboration. Teaching responsibilities will be mainly with theMPHProgram with limited undergraduate focus. Faculty positions include an expectation for teaching, research, and service, to meet the needs of the department. Additionally, all faculty are expected to engage in effective teaching, assessment of learning outcomes, and departmental collaboration. Additionally, the candidate selected for this position will be expected to engage in online learning, pursuit of grants, program assessment, and will be involved in facilitation of accreditation with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The College is located on Easterns Spokane Campus, adjacent to downtown Spokane, a regional commercial and health center and maintains an administrative presence in Cheney, a residential suburb and the location of Eastern Washington Universitys residential campus. Cheney and Spokane are 17 miles apart. Spokane and vicinity offer a wide range of cultural, recreational, dining, shopping and entertainment alternatives as well as extensive affordable housing options. Spokane is home to three universities and to health related, medical and other selective programs from the two state doctoral universities Washington State University and University of Washington. All clinical professions are represented and located on the Riverpoint campus for the 3 universities. This allows for collaboration with a variety of clinical and health administration disciplines.
