    Would you like to help us recruit and retain great volunteers? Would you like to serve on a non-profit board? Are you passionate about education? If so, Education First is seeking a dedicated volunteer to continue our volunteer recruiting efforts. Education First provides college scholarships to graduating high-school students in underserved communities. Working professionals make up Education First’s volunteer base, each with the opportunity to serve as a board member at a regional, national or officer level. Oversees the Regional Directors by sharing successes and resolving challenges across regions, creates a strategy and plan of action targeted at volunteer engagement and retention. Acts as a liaison between national directors and regional directors in tune with upcoming national campaigns and assists with internal communications. Focused on keeping Regional Directors and general volunteers engaged. Responsibilities: Oversees 9 direct reports - A Volunteer Coordinator and 8 Regional Directors Partner with the Board Chair to monitor, improve, and maintain volunteer engagement Guide the Volunteer Coordinator on administrative activities to upkeep volunteer profiles and send out communications Ensure that the RD roles are filled and supported on major national initiatives Work with RDs to make sure their local chairs/roles are filled Liaison between the RDs and national board Give guidance and advice to RDs on how to achieve their goals Point person for questions from the RDs and relays info up to the national board This is a volunteer position and as such, is non-paid. It has a time commitment varying between 0-5 hours per week and averages approximately 1-2 hours per week.
