  • Responsibilities

    The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the 7th Floor Front Desk by making and cancelling patient appointments, referring patients between clinics, blocking resident provider schedules, follow-up with insurance companies on eligibility, confirm appointments and maintain a wait list, a recall list, and a cancellation list to back fill patients if there is a cancellation or opening. This also includes collecting a payment at time of service and reconciling the cash/credit that was collected at the end of each day.

     

    Provide good, quality customer service by: Warmly greeting and helping all patients and students and directing them to appropriate services, source. Acts as telephone receptionist by: screening messages and checking voicemail messages; transferring patients to appropriate departments if needed, answering questions within context of policies and procedures with contact sometimes of difficult nature. Must maintain professional attitude at all times. Flexibility is a must to accommodate the needs of the clinic. Clinic hours run 7:30am-7:00pm. The schedule will be a combination of hours to equal no more than 40 hours a week.

    Required Skills

    • Vocational or Technical Training required
    • 1-3 years of experience required
