    POSITION SUMMARY :

    Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking a Control Panel Manager to lead our panel control team in our manufacturing facilities for the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and Integrated bio-energy solutions. This leader must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail-oriented, and have superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must comply with Roeslein & Associates’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships with employees.
    • This position will be responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training all new employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the standard of the organization. This position will also be responsible for developing the team and providing feedback for annual performance evaluations.
    • Must be a leader who represents the organization with the ability to be a liaison to our customers, adhere to company contracts, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
    • Responsible for the escalation of employee issues and company violations to ensure the employee understands the policies and procedures of the organization. This position will create and deliver all employee disciplines with the support of Human Resources.
    • Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
    • This position will be the point of contact for the team and will respond timely to troubleshoot issues and avoid prolonged delays. Must be able to troubleshoot issues with complete resolution.
    • Identify all safety situations and report issues timely.
    • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
    • Must meet deadlines while safely producing a quality product.
    • Review drawings for project requirements and resources required.
    • Complete inspections at various stages of production to ensure customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed. Create a process checklist and coordinate quality inspections with the quality department.
    • Advise and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI’s) for consistency.
    • Must set and adjust employees’ rates of pay and hours of work in collaboration with the production manager. Must approve weekly timesheets.
    • Operate and help oversee others using safety equipment and use safe work habits including, but not limited to: working at heights, overhead cranes, etc.
    • Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of employees.
    • Safely operate and pass forklift certification.
    • Must attend all manager meetings, training, and safety meetings as required.
    • Must be able to assess production progress and report percentage completion for scheduling and tracking purposes.
    • Manages the panel shop team to build and troubleshoot electrical systems including control panels, control stations, and junction boxes.
    • Directs the control panel assembly process including mounting, labeling, wiring, and wiring of custom systems.
    • Interprets data from electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics and communicates accordingly with other departments.
    • Strong ability to diagnose and address problems within electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
    • Conducts final checks on panels using electrical test equipment.
    • Runs electrical wires in the most effective route to minimize wire use and for uniformity and neatness. Selects hardware necessary to complete tasks.
    • This position will be responsible for managing inventory.
    • Performs set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
    • Responsible for area housekeeping.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required. Must be able to stand/walk at least 90% of the time and sit less than 10% of the time.


    KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.
    • Continued certification to maintain UL MTR 508-A Manufacturer Technical Representative is required along with other UL requirements as needed.
    • Associate degree in electrical, control systems Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
    • Four or more years of electrical experience in a supervisory role with High Voltage AC and Low Voltage DC required experience.
    • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
    • Strong math skills required.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license as well as a good vehicle record is required.
    • Must be able to pass an agility test.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
    • Experience with hand-held tools and assembling parts.
    • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
    • Able to operate hand tools and understand torque values.
    • Must have immense attention to detail.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required.
    • Must work well with others in a team-oriented environment and be an example of teamwork for your crew.

    Technology – The use of technology, including cell phones are not allowed during all work, chore, group and meal times as well as during de-rigs and rig-up. Corpsmembers must agree that they will not use these types of technology while participating in these activities and realize that technology use is strictly regulated by SCC policy and by SCC staff and crew leaders.

    Substance Free – In accordance to a drug free workplace, alcohol, tobacco and drugs are prohibited while participating in SCC activities and while on SCC property .

    Fitness – Members are expected to complete projects that involve heavy lifting, hiking, and living outdoors for an extended period of time.
