    The Center for Behavioral Science Research seeks a postdoctoral associate with strong interest and competency in mobile health (apps, text, sensors, VR) and health behavior change.  The associate will have the opportunity collaborate on one of two recently funded grants on digital interventions; one on motivating cessation of adolescent vaping and the other on motivating smoking cessation among dental clinic patients. The associate will also start an independent project, apply for grant funding, and author manuscripts from existing data sets. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree (or ABD) in psychology (or related behavioral or social science), excellent communication and writing skills, and advanced training in research methodology and biostatistics.  The associate will receive mentorship in grant writing and publications and be afforded career development opportunities through Boston University.   Salary and benefits are competitive.  The Boston University Medical Campus is comprised of the Henry M.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent amount of relevant experience and education. Food industry experience strongly preferred.
    • 0-2 years of related experience is preferred.
    • Planning, organizing, coordinating and leadership skills.
    • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong problem solving, and decision making skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
    • Ability to work in conditions, which include multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints.
    • Additionally, candidate must interact well with other employees, work overtime as needed, be able to work in food manufacturing facility and adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices
