  • Responsibilities

    Primarily responsible for data management, quality control, and statistical analysis of data from Pregnancy Study Online (PRESTO), Snart Gravid/Snart Foraeldre (SG/SF), and the Study of Environment, Lifestyle, and Fibroids (SELF) at the Boston University School of Public Health. Additional responsibilities will include protocol and analysis documentation and manuscript preparation. The Data Analyst will primarily use SAS statistical software to perform analyses. The Data Analyst be critical to ensuring the timely presentation and publication of results from the PRESTO, SG/SF, and SELF studies.

     

    • Perform statistical analyses (descriptive statistics, stratification, multivariable regression, spline curves, measurement error correction, inverse probability weighting) using SAS software and selected macros in support of various research projects. (60%)
    • Perform data management, including extraction and cleaning of raw data, derivation of new variables, labelling and formatting of raw and derived variables, and multiple imputation. Maintain and update research databases to facilitate analyses. (30%)
    • Document processes involved in data preparation, manipulation, and statistical analysis. (5%)
    • Prepare study results for inclusion in conference presentations, grants, and scientific publications. (5%)

     

    Master's Degree Required.

  • Qualifications

     

    Candidates must be able to pass a physical including drug screen (hair and urine) and background check.

    Completion of high school diploma or GED required.

    NCRC Silver or higher highly preferred.

    Must be able speak, read, and write fluently in English.

    Uses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.

    Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions)

    Attendance on the job is essential.

    Must be able to work in a team orientated environment.

    Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
