They will have the opportunity to create, implement and manage key marketing research projects through social media. In addition, they will support advertising and PSA programs through the different channels of social media and any other potential communication outlets. This internship will provide the opportunity to learn many phases of the marketing industry within the nonprofit industry. The intern will be responsible for assisting the marketing department with planning, executing and measuring strategic marketing programs and projects. The ideal candidate is someone who is knowledgeable of social media platforms, creative, and thoughtful when interacting with online communities and building relationships. The position is entry-level, and there is potential for hire after the completion of the internship. A potential school credit may be available, and we are flexible with school schedules. This internship is UNPAID but compensation for transportation will be provided. The company has asked for you to work a min. of 20 hours per week. This opportunity DOES QUALIFY for Federal Work Study and the -Scholarship. Applicants must be continuing EMCC students and have a minimum of 2.5 G.P.A or a recommendation from your SWSC instructor. Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting and managing social media efforts and website updates Providing overall marketing support for signature campaigns Involvement in research projects Support advertising and PSA programs Assist with outreach programs Generating creative viral marketing campaigns to drive engagement, with clearly defined objectives and measurable results Developing and implementing creative ways to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the HYC website, Facebook, blog, Twitter and Instagram accounts Updating all events on various event calendars Updating blog, Twitter, Facebook and other Social Media platforms daily Developing and executing engaging and unique promotional content/contests Researching potential client brands and conducting market research Understanding social networks and technology to spot online trends and ways for the company to use them to facilitate corporate branding Conducting social media wrap-ups for clients Support other key initiatives of the department as assigned Minimum Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passion and creativity for content creation Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate information verbally and in writing Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with information that will be obtained in the daily interactions Dedication to research on clients and industry Tech savvy; proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel and internet research tools Able to work both independently as a self-starter and as part of a team Attention to detail Ability to understand and meet deadlines while handling multiple projects simultaneously(FOOTER) The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is an EEO/AA institution and an equal opportunity employer of protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
