POSITION:

The Frontend Developer will join the Tech Team to build our web application systems that drive our online education services.  As we improve our stack, this individual will be responsible for implementing new frontend features.  We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in frontend software development who can analyze complex issues in integrated web applications.  We pride ourselves in writing beautiful, clean code, and are looking for a teammate who does the same.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop new and maintain existing functionality web development environment with technologies including SCSS, JS, and Twig templates -Bring website mockup designs to life using HTML, Markdown, SCSS, and modern Javascript frameworks -Write high-quality code and unit tests that meet the team's development standards -Participate in technical design/architecture meetings, evaluate new frameworks and tools, and suggest innovative solutions to our complex problems -Monitor interfaces to integrated systems ensuring that all systems are operating as designed -Create and document application requirements by working together with functional team leaders -Coordinate testing of tickets with QA team to ensure product quality -Be excited about working on all our technology challenges and open to learning and picking up the right skill to get the job done

REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field

-2+ years of software development experience

-Experience with programming languages such as Javascript and PHP

-Experience with technologies such as SCSS, MongoDB, AJAX, jQuery, Angular, and React

-Experience with Agile methodology preferred

-Excellent communication and analytical skills

-Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects

-Ability to understand, follow, and enforce proper design and coding standards

-Strong leadership and team work skills required

-Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment

-Familiarity with web accessibility preferred
