Part-time Accounting Intern Evolve Biosystems Inc. - Davis, CA $20 an hour - Part-time, Internship Parttime Accounting Intern Evolve BioSystems Inc. Based at Davis, California headquarters Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Intern will be provided an opportunity to learn accounting processes to prepare them for longterm career success. The ideal candidate will be studying accounting with plans to enter public accounting after graduation. The Accounting Intern will primarily perform the daily sales reconciliation, invoicing, and support weekly and monthly reporting requirements. Once trained, the Accounting Intern will have significant flexibility in terms of work hours and location. In addition, further opportunity to learn and grow with the business exists. The Accounting Intern will be expected to work 1030 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare sales reconciliations between sales orders, bank deposits, and shipments * Issue weekly and monthly reporting dashboards * Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements * Reconcile sales and use tax returns * Support monthly and yearend financial processes * Support accounts payable processes * Support yearend external audit Other Personal Characteristics: * Passion for Evolves mission * Tenacious with an abiding sense of urgency and personal pace * Inquisitive and engaged; not afraid to challenge the status quo * Open to learning, able to adapt quickly and apply learnings to achieve success * Thoughtful, highenergy, selfstarter; possess ability to function with a high degree of independence Ideal Experience/Education: * No experience required * Looking for college student studying accounting or finance * Plans to start public accounting career path preferred * Strong desire to learn accounting processes * Computer savvy; basic excel skills recommend * Advanced excel skills a plus (pivot tables, vLookups, if functions, etc.) * Possess effective communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster business relationships across functions
