The Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies at Fairfield University invites applications for a simulation educator in our Austin Texas locations. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and innovation in simulation teaching excellence. The Egan School offers a Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSiH) accredited Simulation Center as well as Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited baccalaureate and graduate degrees (MSN and DNP) in nursing, with specializations in nurse anesthesia, nurse midwifery, family nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinical nurse leader, and nursing leadership. Egan is a top-ranked School of Nursing and has been designated as a National League of Nursing Center of Excellence for Nursing Education. Candidates for the position should have experience that is consistent with the programs mission and must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and innovation.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in nursing preferred. Hold or be eligible for an active unencumbered nursing license in Texas. A minimum of one year simulation teaching experience. Experienced as a clinical staff member and/or leader. Candidates must be innovative in curricular development and be prepared to incorporate simulation pedagogy into courses. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate simulation experiences/scenarios.
