  • Responsibilities

    This summer, EF’s Boston Campus is looking for a passionate and driven intern to help lead the charge in expanding and strengthening our Host Family Program - a vital part of our vibrant, global community. As part of the Housing Team, you’ll work alongside experienced recruiters and report directly to the Director of Housing, all while building valuable skills in marketing, communications, sales, and community engagement.

    You’ll have the freedom to manage your own projects, develop new strategies for recruitment, and build lasting relationships - both within EF and throughout the greater Boston community.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Own daily outreach through phone, email, and in-person follow-up to recruit new Host Families
    • Represent EF at off-site promotional events, fairs, and community actions (plus, get your steps in while you leaflet!)
    • Serve as the friendly first point of contact for Host Family inquiries and support
    • Build partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
    • Design and launch creative Host Family advertisements
    • Lead focus groups and collect feedback to continuously improve the Host experience
    • Visit and vet prospective Host Families with an eagle eye for detail
    • Keep Homestay records organized and up to date

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A current college student or recent grad with a passion for people and global communities
    • A positive, upbeat attitude - even when things get busy
    • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • A team player who can also manage independent projects
    • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings
    • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check

    Bonus Points For:

    • Previous customer service, sales, or marketing experience
    • Comfort with public speaking or community outreach
    • Creativity and a can-do attitude
