    Job Description

    Job Summary

    The ERP Application Developer I works with other developers, business analysts, and users to design, implement, and support the University's administrative applications.

    • Creates system integration using REST/SOAP APIs.
    • Develops programs and scripts to support Acclaim's integration with PeopleSoft.
    • Develops programs and provides support for Continuing education and co-curricular initiatives.
    • Analyzes, designs and creates specifications for PeopleSoft and Acclaim application functionalities and/or requirements.
    • Analyzes and understands vendor interfaces and related business processes.
    • Develops, customizes, reports, and interfaces new processes using PeopleSoft and Acclaim tools as well as other 3rd party tools.
    • Interacts with database administrators, security analysts, and business system users. Coordinates with vendors when necessary to resolve issues.
    • Collaborates with various groups (customer's help desk, technical infrastructure, etc.) to identify and resolve Acclaim and PeopleSoft application issues.
    • Provides production support including problem analysis and resolution, job scheduling, monitoring, tuning, and end-user support.
    • Provides assistance to all phases in the project set up & prototyping, design, development, conversion, testing, deployment.
    • Understands and implements change control methodology.
    • Creates accurate and detailed documentation for supporting Acclaim and all integrations.
    • Assists with providing proof of concept through extensive prototyping, project stakeholders and end users and proposes technical solutions.
    • Assists in addressing problems related to systems integration, compatibility, and multiplatform integration between Acclaim and all integrations. Provides guidance related to general and portal-specific software design, processes development, security, infrastructure, migration paths, and deployment best practices.
    • Provides support for badging systems, such as Acclaim. Builds and maintains interfaces and customizations for that system.
    • Provides planning, implementation and support for the disaster recovery response for the systems under this memorandum.
    • Ensures that personnel related to the provision of services under this memorandum attend conferences and are otherwise engaged in professional development activities related to Acclaim and related applications.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology/systems or engineering.

    Departmental Preferences:

    • Knowledge of programming.
    • Experience in system integration using REST/SOAP APIs.
