    THE POSITION:

    POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The scrum master helps oversee the scrum and development team. The Scrum Master is knowledgeable in Agile methodology, scrum and able to educate others. The Scrum Master also act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

    • Certified Scrum Master

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 7 years developing enterprise-wise software solutions

    • 4 years using Agile SDLC methodologies

    • 1 year coaching the development teams to adhere to the Scrum framework

    KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

    • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict

    • Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum

    • Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not

    • Experience with successful Agile techniques

    • Ability to work with and lead a team

    • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills

    • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

    • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction

    • Knowledge of how enterprise software products are positioned and developed

    • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication

    • Ability to deal with varied and difficult personalities while maintaining an even temperament

    • Ability to train users

    • Ability to handle recurring problems in a tactful manner
