Shenandoah University’s Office of Academic Advising is accepting applications for an Academic Advising Specialist for Transfer Students. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
The Academic Advising Specialist for Transfer Students will be responsible for all advising related aspects of a transfer student’s experience at Shenandoah University. Reporting to the Director of Academic Advising, Transitions and Progression, this Advising Specialist will work closely with both current and incoming transfer students in issues as they relate to transfer credits from other institutions, credit for prior learning and progression status in a Shenandoah University degree pathway. This Advising Specialist will play an integral role in the overall transfer student experience.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinates all undergraduate evaluations of coursework from colleges and universities, determine course applicability to degree programs, and post eligible transfer credit to student records in Colleague.
