If you are passionate about office culture, love to deliver exceptional service and experiences, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you!

As Front Desk Coordinator, your main duty will be to assist and support our vibrant community of 1,000+ employees at EF’s North American headquarters. You will be a central figure on campus, flawlessly operating our front desk and our reception phoneline while maintaining high productivity and a level head when juggling multiple projects and priorities. As the go-to resource, you will gain extensive knowledge of EF’s businesses and our Boston-based teams.

The role involves many key operational tasks, but the perfect candidate is also the heartbeat and life of our Boston office-personable, warm, and approachable. You are both the voice and face of EF, ensuring every interaction, whether with staff, visitors, or customers, feels welcoming, professional, and informed. The front desk is an information hub for our products, in-office events, and resources; the person in this role is the trusted go-to for all things EF Boston.

Who are we? The EF Office Life & Services Team is the host of EF Center Boston, responsible for driving our one-of-a-kind EF culture through communication, events, programs, and office environment. Our ultimate goal is simple: to make EF the very best place to work.

Some specific tasks for the Front Desk Coordinator role include, but are not limited to:

    • Answering our reception phoneline and directing calls, taking messages, and providing general information to callers.

    • Greeting visitors and customers as the first point of contact, welcoming them in a friendly and professional manner, answering any questions they may have, and directing them to the appropriate person or department.

    • Managing access of visitors to the office and making sure the office is safe and secure in tandem with our security team.

    • Providing excellent one-stop-shop service as the information center regarding all things EF Boston and beyond. As the central “go-to”, you will have the opportunity to engage with several key stakeholders and help chart the office culture's path.

    • Facilitating daily employee office requests such as general office Q&A, conference room bookings, over multiple communication channels (in-person, email, and Teams messages).

    • Researching ways to innovate and develop staff culture.

    • Supporting larger team projects and initiatives, be it our epic summer party, Employee Appreciation Day pop-ups, the annual EF Hello-ween costume contest, and more.

Please note that this position is fully in-person in our Boston office, five days a week.

    Who You Are:

    • Passionate about EF’s mission of “Opening the world through education”

    • Love the art of hosting (experience in the service industry is a plus!)

    • Self-driven and independent with exceptional communication and collaboration skills

    • Warm and approachable as an EF representative to our staff and visitors.

    • Positive and energetic - a natural hype person!

    • ‘Attention to detail’ might as well be your middle name

    • Able to multitask and adapt quickly in highly-distracting, ever-changing environments

    • Creative, both in terms of thinking on your toes and coming up with new ideas

    • Equally as comfortable wearing a costume to promote an office-wide event as you are tracking items in Excel

    Why you’ll love working here:

This is the most fun, high caliber place you’ll ever work. Ask any employee why they love EF (whether they’ve been here 10 minutes or 10 years) and they’ll probably tell you the same thing: it’s the people. When you work at EF, you join a purpose-driven, international and energetic community that thrives on continuous learning, fearless innovation and mutual support.

    You can also expect:

    • Robust professional growth opportunities including trainings, workshops, and inspiring talks with global leaders and experts

    • Four weeks paid vacation your first year, and ten paid holidays

    • 25% company match on your 401(k)

    • Exceptional medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with options for life, disability, pet, and legal insurance

    • Access to fertility care and family-building support

    • Wellness benefits including a yearly fitness reimbursement

    • EF program discounts including travel, language schools, childcare, and more

    • Dependent care, healthcare, and commuter flexible spending accounts (FSAs)

    • Discounts at local venues and businesses

    • Robust Employee Assistance Program

    • Tenure-based sabbatical eligibility

    • Frequent social and learning events, including access to our employee-run resource groups

    • The starting salary range for this role is $50,000-$54,000 annually based on experience. This is an overtime eligible position for any time worked over 40-hours weekly.
