Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for a full-time Cook 3 Breader within Retail Dining (Chick-fil-A). The UOES division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Cook 3 Breader

As a Cook 3 Breader you will play an integral role in delivering outstanding service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Your contributions will support the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere that defines the University of Notre Dame. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-energy, customer-focused operation on one of the nation’s most iconic campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bread chicken patties and chicken nuggets per Chick-fil-A brand specifications
• Load the Henny Penny pressurized fryers
• Assign and participate in the preparation, stocking, and rotating of food inventories
• Participate in the training of students and new employees
• Create prep lists, establish par levels, and manage inventory control
• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting company standards
• Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep
• Stock kitchen inventory as needed
• Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time).
• Ability to move, lift and handle equipment, supplies and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to position self to move items weighing up to 25 pounds from floor to shelves and cabinets above and below counter height
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Additional Information

Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
