Location Fusion Education Group (Corporate) Description Fusion Academy is looking for an intern to support facilities maintenance and operations tasks from Grand Rapids, Michigan. What you will do: Our Facilities Intern will work with our Facilities Manager to: - Respond to urgent and routine facility maintenance and improvement requests from 50+ locations - Research, compile, and organize historic facility requests to create cost and timeline projections for future projects/maintenance - Interact with vendors to ensure successful and timely completion of work orders and maintenance requests - Follow up with campus staff to ensure that work was done satisfactorily - Identify opportunities to streamline and improve our work order system with our Systems and IT departments - Create training materials for work order system end users - Develop a suggested schedule for preventative maintenance for our 50+ campuses Position Requirements Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or within one year of graduation in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Management, or Operations Required Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented but able to understand how small details fit within the bigger picture. Self-starter who can work independently, work as part of a team, and take direction and feedback. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently and juggle competing priorities. Schedule: Our ideal candidate will be able to work the same hours each week for approximately 20 hours per week during Fusion's normal business hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
