ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR GRADUATE ENROLLMENT OPERATIONS, Graduate Enrollment, Office of the Provost
Reporting to the Associate Director of Graduate Enrollment Operations, the Assistant Director for Graduate Enrollment Operations plays a crucial role in supporting Boston University's 17 schools and colleges with graduate and professional admissions within the Technolutions Slate CRM. This position serves as a primary point of contact for assigned schools/colleges, providing expert operational support, training, and guidance on leveraging Slate to optimize recruitment, application processing, and communication throughout the admissions lifecycle. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the Graduate Enrollment team, school/college admissions staff, Information Services & Technology (IS&T), and other university stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of Slate and contribute to the achievement of graduate enrollment goals. This role emphasizes operational efficiency, user support, and training within the Slate system, rather than deep technical administration.
**Slate Operations & Workflow Management (40%): **
• Collaborate with school/college graduate admission teams to streamline application processing, improve daily operations, and implement new Slate functionalities to increase efficiency.
• Configure admission components of the Slate CRM, including applications, forms, portals, events, campaigns, rules, and dashboards.
• Develop and implement standardized workflows within Slate for application processing, communication, and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity by establishing and enforcing data entry and maintenance best practices.
• Contribute to the annual application cycle preparation (Cycle Prep) process within Slate.
• Manage user access and permissions within Slate, ensuring appropriate access levels for staff and faculty.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
• Serve as a liaison between school/college users and IS&T for escalated issues.
**User Support & Consultation (40%): **
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned school/college graduate and professional admissions staff regarding Slate-related questions, providing timely and effective operational support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Partner with Marketing and Communication Specialists to support the development, launch, and maintenance of effective recruitment and admission communication strategies using Slate's capabilities.
• Support the maintenance of events, portals, recruitment processes, scholarship processes, forms, and other Slate tools, focusing on operational efficiency and user experience.
• Provide consultation to schools/colleges on best practices for using Slate to achieve their enrollment goals, emphasizing operational best practices and effective utilization of existing functionalities.
• Analyze user needs and recommend process improvements within Slate.
**Training & Documentation (20%): **
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for Slate users.
• Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support to staff and faculty on Slate functionalities and best practices, with a focus on operational use and efficiency.
• Maintain a working understanding of Technolutions Slate CRM best practices, actively seeking ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new features, tools, and optimization opportunities.
