  • Responsibilities

    PDs live on campus at UCLA in Los Angeles and American University in Washington, D.C.. PDs will be paid at the end of each session worked. The NSLC will also cover all housing, food, and transportation costs.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Plan and implement Game Design staff training and assist with general staff training for all NSLC staff members.
    • Supervise and manage all Game Design staff members. Facilitate staff meetings.
    • Manage program supplies and logistics.
    • Support staff members during educational and leadership activities, serving as facilitator where appropriate.
    • Serve as a member of the American University administrative staff supporting all NSLC programs and students on campus as well as the on‐site NSLC office.
  • Qualifications

    Candidates must have extensive experience in Game Design. Ideally, we are looking for a Game Design major/minor who also has work experience in designing games.

    Ideal candidates are young, energetic teachers or current graduate students who have studied and/or taught programming, animation or game design.

    Experience working at a summer camp is preferred.

    Candidates should be creative, independent, self starters with management experience.

    - Hourly for work in the spring. - By session in the summer. (See responsibilities.) - We will have four sessions this summer, two at UCLA and two in Washington, D.C. - Program Directors are paid a stipend of $1350 per session. - Room and board are paid for by NSLC. - Flights to each city are also paid by NSLC.
