Web Announcement Kinesiology Internship Coordinator The Division of Health and Human Performance ( HHP ) in the College of Education and Human Development ( CEHD ) seeks to hire an Internship Coordinator for its undergraduate program in Kinesiology. This is a 12-month, full-time term (non-tenure accruing) instructional faculty appointment that does not require a doctorate but does require specialized experience focused on program management or similar leadership experiences. The internship program is a series of robust experiential learning endeavors which require 700 hours of practical engagement over multiple courses. The primary purposes of this faculty position are to provide managerial leadership for the Kinesiology internship program and teach undergraduate courses. More specifically, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Facilitation of internship site placements for fall, spring and summer semesters Cultivating relationships with new and existing internship sites Facilitation of student preparation for upcoming internship experiences Database maintenance of previous and future internship opportunities Serve as a liaison between the Associate Deans office, University Counsel, Office of Risk Management and the internship site for the maintenance and development of Affiliation Agreements Maintenance of the Kinesiology Internship Manual, which articulates the relevant policies and procedures that support the mission of the Kinesiology program Data collection and analysis related to intern and supervisor performance Teaching responsibilities are a 2:2:1 load, including internship supervision courses and other courses relevant to background and expertise Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Kinesiology or a related field Teaching and/or academic advising experience in higher education Experience managing an internship program, supervising interns, or leading other initiatives that demonstrate the ability to carry out the responsibilities of this position Excellent written and verbal communication skills Committed to upholding the standards of academic and professional excellence set forth by the Kinesiology faculty Special Instructions to Applicants For full consideration, applicants must apply at https://jobs.gmu.edu/ ; complete and submit the online application; and upload a cover letter, CV, and a list of three professional references with contact information.
