(SPAN) Description: Georgia Gwinnett College is actively searching for a full-time Human Resources Student Employment Coordinator position to support the development and growth of on campus student employment. The success of the position requires working collaboratively with all levels of management, faculty, and staff to help create and implement Student Employment guidelines, practices, and procedures. This position serves a key role in the coordination of the student employment including but not limited to advising and counseling students seeking on campus employment, serving as a liaison between key offices, and managing the online talent acquisition process. Overall this role, helps support a positive student employment process and environment within the diverse offices and departments at GGC. (P) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Oversees the student employment process and collection of appropriate new hire information; processing of background check and E-Verify in compliance with BOR and federal regulations - Develops, reviews and implements student employment policies and procedures, guidelines, checklists, etc. in collaboration with Human Resources - Establish partnerships with hiring managers across campus; develops and conducts training programs for hiring managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover - Assist with the oversight and maintenance of the applicant tracking system; provide technical assistance to employees and candidates; administer system training - Create a student employee on-boarding program in conjunction with Human Resources colleagues including day one orientation sessions - Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, campus network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates - Develop advertising programs in collaboration with managers to ensure high visibility with potential candidates - Develops and maintains excellent relationships with potential student employees and hiring managers to ensure achievement of staffing goals; follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process - Meet one-on-one with potential student employees to advise and counsel regarding the student employment process; including: eligibility, qualifications, required skills, etc. - Collaborate with Human Resources colleagues on projects and initiatives as needed - Attend appropriate off-campus meetings of HR professionals for employee training purposes - Supports efforts to establish HR as a trusted partner and adviser with campus leadership - Encourage open communications and promote a positive work environment embracing the Colleges vision, mission and operating principles; Serve as champion with initiatives designed to develop and sustain GGCs culture - Performs other related duties, as assigned Minimum and Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in HR, Business or related field required - 2+ years' work experience in an office environment - Exposure to Human Resources functions - Office skills generally acquired through one (1) year or more of office experience; general computer skills, data entry, phone etiquette, etc. - Familiarity with employment laws and regulations - Experience with applicant tracking systems - Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Demonstrated excellence in communication, verbal and written, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills` Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience with student employment on a college campus - Experience supporting a Human Resources employment function (P) Position Disclosure: 1q23w4er68u9y0io-]p[oiuyt6qqaQAQDue to the volume of applications, applicants may not receive a reply from the College unless an applicant is selected for an interview.
