    The IT Project Manager is a results-oriented, change-focused role responsible for the overall direction, planning, execution and completion of specific projects while ensuring consistency with corporate strategy, commitments and goals. Individuals in this role will manage one or more IT projects for new systems or technology, with an emphasis on Information Security. They will demonstrate communication effectiveness, strong project management discipline and ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients. This role is responsible for significant, corporate-wide projects, typically with large budgets and involving multiple sponsors and stakeholders. Focused on leading the planning, design, testing and implementation of complex projects for systems that affect a global customer base and on meeting project commitments, including communication with sponsors and stakeholders. 

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

     

    • Responsible for managing multi-phased, complex IT projects, following all phases of the project management life cycle
    • Ensures requirements gathering and documentation are complete, aligning with business goals, IT strategy, and IT enterprise architectural roadmaps
    • Facilitates definition of project scope, goals and deliverables and works with project sponsor(s) to develop and gain approval of project charter
    • Defines project tasks and resource requirements and develops full scale project plan
    • Develops and executes plans for managing project budget, resource allocation, quality assurance and project-related risks
      • Work with project sponsors to effectively manage the financial responsibilities and activities of assigned projects
      • Make project decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
    • Coordinates project plans with those of vendors and service providers working on assigned projects; includes vendor/service provider progress in project monitoring
    • Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders; presents reports defining progress, problems and resolutions
    • Identify proper skills needed to accomplish project goals and collaborate with functional management to obtain appropriate resource. Provide oversight and direction for project related activities
    • Set expectations for the project team members by defining expectations and outcomes of project related activities
    • Collaborate and negotiate with vendors/service providers on development of project plans, deliverables and project progress
    • Collaborate with IT functional leaders to deliver projects that span business areas in a cost-effective way that complies with enterprise standards and processes
    • Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor assigned project progress
    • Review performance data to monitor and measure productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness to meet project goals
    • Design, deliver and manage effective communications throughout the organization for assigned projects
    • Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes
    • Facilitates project evaluations and assessment of results

     

    Required Skills

    • Attendance during regular work hours and required flexibility with overtime as business permits

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor or advanced degree related to Computer Technology/Management Information Systems or related field required, or a 5+ years equivalent experience with a minimum of 5+ years of project management in a complex global environment
    • Project management certification preferred
    • Experience leading and executing the design and development of large and small innovative solutions in an IT environment
    • Solid knowledge of multiple IT platforms and software, Information Security, as well as in-depth experience with project management methodologies and tools
    • Experience with tools and techniques for effective risk, communication, issue and financial management
    • PMP certification and activities to support enhancing skills and being current on tools and techniques
