The Milledgeville Campus of Georgia Military College is accepting applications for a FULL TIME ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS.  GMC Milledgeville operates on a quarter system offering four terms per year. This is a full-time, annually renewable faculty position with a teaching load of 20 credit hours (four classes on average) per term: Fall, Winter, and Spring. The contract period is for twelve months. Teaching is not required during the summer term but faculty who teach in the summer are compensated additionally in accordance with the adjunct faculty pay scale. The position may require evening teaching assignments to support the needs of non-traditional students. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be able to be credentialed to teach a wide variety of mathematics courses, including statistics, calculus, and learning-support-level (remedial) mathematics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree and 18sh or 30qh of graduate course work in content-based mathematics and/or math-based (not applied) statistics courses.

Experience in a Community College environment and/or teaching freshman and sophomore level courses is preferred.
