Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Position Overview: Goldfish Swim School, BHB Operations is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Purchasing Manager. This is a new, ground-up position within our organization, offering an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record in building and implementing processes. As a franchisee, adherence to brand standards is paramount, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance while establishing efficient procurement procedures from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies in alignment with organizational goals and brand standards.

Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.

Create and maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including pricing, contracts, and inventory levels.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand departmental needs and provide procurement support and guidance.

Monitor market trends, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing procurement activities.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

Provide training and support to staff members on procurement processes and systems as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.

Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) in procurement or purchasing roles, with a strong emphasis on building and implementing processes.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.

This opportunity is a roll-your-sleeves-up kind of position, as you'll be the sole member of the purchasing team initially.
